Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I pay per session?
A: We do not offer drop-in pricing at the moment. This collaboration was designed to promote long-term training consistency for our athletes and is already priced below market rate. We do offer make up sessions for any absences, please refer to the make-up sessions section above.
Q: How do I pay tuition?
A: Please fill out the sign-up form above and you will receive an invoice in your email on the first week of the series (April 6-12 for Spring Series). If you prefer to pay in person, we accept cash, check, or card payments during first attending session.
Q: We would really like to join but can not afford the sessions, is there anything we can do to receive training?
A: Any participant who is a Sabercats Scholarship Program recipient will be eligible for discounted sessions. We offer volunteer positions for participants who are not a part of the Sabercats Scholarship Program, please send us an email for more information.
Q: I have a hockey athletics membership, do I need to pay extra for Sabercats Off-Ice sessions?
A: Nope! Your Jolt All-Access Hockey Athletics Membership includes the Sabercats x Jolt Off-ice training for your player’s age group..
Q: What will they be working on?
A: We plan our curriculum based on age group and season. Hockey athletes have different needs depending on where they are in the season/ off-season. We also adjust based on head coach requests and level of play of the athletes. If you’d like to know more please contact Coach Allen (Allen@joltathletics.com) for more info!
Q: What attire/equipment am I expected to bring?
A: Please bring your stick and gloves (and water bottle)! Wear athletic attire (nothing too baggy or restricting). NO JEANS. NO CROCS. NO SANDALS/ OPEN-TOE SHOES. Coming to training in inappropriate attire will result in the athlete being sent home or wait for a change of clothes. Repeated attire misconduct can result in suspension/ removal from the off-ice training program.
Q: How far is the commute to Jolt? Will I make it in time coming from on-ice practice?
A: It is approximately a 5 minute drive from Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center (or a 20-min walk). We schedule our off-ice times to be 45min after practice. There is also a informal network of parents who coordinate carpooling, which is an option to consider!
